Meet Your Educator

Allyssa Sharpe

Picture

Hi! My name is Ms. Sharpe. I graduated from Southern Adventist University in 2014 and began my teaching career in San Antonio, TX. As an Ohio native, I'm thrilled to be back in my home state! This is my seventh year teaching and I am excited to start this year with you! My goals for my students and classroom are to help each student develop a closer relationship with Jesus and reach their potential in all areas - not being afraid to step out of their comfort zone.

I come from a family of 4, with my parents, younger brother, and two cats. I love them all, even my younger brother!

Outside of the classroom, I like to get lost in great books, laugh at classic TV comedies, connect with my friends, and explore this beautiful world that God created.

Curriculum Pillars

School is a partnership with home and church to help children to become the person God created them to be.
Piqua SDA Christian School follows a course of study prescribed the Ohio State Board of Education and the Department of Education of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. We are a chartered, non-public school, fully accredited and recognized by the state of Ohio.

Students can expect instruction in:

  • BIBLE - Including instruction in Biblical history and principles as a revelation of God, skills of Biblical interpretation, and understanding of Jesus Christ as the focus of both Old and New Testaments.
  • COMPUTER EDUCATION - Including instruction in usage, applications, and ethics.
  • FINE ARTS - Including instruction and participation in art and music aimed at developing aesthetic appreciation and skills of creative expression.
  • LANGUAGE ARTS - Including instruction in speaking, composition, handwriting, listening, reading, spelling and vocabulary.
  • PHYSICAL EDUCATION - Including instruction and participation in activities designed to promote optimum physical development, interpersonal skills, and good sportsmanship.
  • SCIENCE AND HEALTH - Including instruction in science and health, based on Biblical concepts of God as Creator and Sustainer of the world.
  • SOCIAL STUDIES - Including instruction in geography, history and government, the mission of the Church, appreciation of ethnic groups, and rights and responsibilities of American citizens.
Principal's Welcome
Piqua Adventist Christian School, serving grades K-6, is a unique community of students, faculty, parents, school board, and supportive church.  Our vision is a direct reflection of who we are--a group which serves humanity by learning first to be respectful of others before we begin serving others; which explores the world and applies the wealth of knowledge that is available through the Bible; and which seeks education, not just for success in the world in which we live, but also for eternity. We welcome those who desire to be a part of this community.
